IKEA Partners with Local Social Enterprise Rags2Riches

Opening its first home furnishing hub in the Philippines in 2021, IKEA has partnered with local social enterprise Rags2Riches to provide sewing and customization services for the store's clients, accroding to an Inquirer.net report.

Rags2Riches is a design house that aims to empower marginalized communities by offering dignified work; teaching and employing community artisans to create sustainable and ethical fashion and home products. The partnership with IKEA offers 50 of its Pinay artisans training in order to meet IKEA’s skill requirements.
